A 2-hour training for student employees during their first 6 weeks of employment covering:
- Wellbeing Empowerment: An introduction to individual and community wellbeing; overview of accessing health and crisis resources.
- Suicide Prevention: How to notice the signs when a peer could be struggling, ask direct questions, respond to their peer with empathy, and connect peers to crisis resources.
- Bystander Intervention: Building the skills needed to recognize concerning behavior and safely intervene, tailored to each of the three physical work environments.
Student employees in third spaces across campus will all have the information they need to create a safer community, take care of themselves, and support others!
