Join us for lunch and to talk with Dr. Julia Broderick (Department of Sociology and University Foundations) about how to connect and engage with students, particularly in discussion based courses. Dr. Broderick will share research about attachment, first year spaces, and creating community in the classroom. Participants will also have the opportunity to reflect on how they communicate with students and how to create classroom community goals.

This is a hybrid event, offered both in person and online. Please note the address if you plan to attend in person, and the Zoom link if you plan to attend virtually. After registering for a hybrid workshop, you will have the option to add the event, which includes the Zoom link for the workshop, to your Google calendar. Also, you will receive a confirmation email of your registration that also includes the workshop link.
