Your course has an overall pass rate and an overall average grade — but do all your students experience your course the same way? In this half-day session, you'll explore a course-specific data report and a new dashboard which disaggregate course outcomes data to see how outcomes in your course break down by student group — e.g., first-generation status, transfer status, academic level, and more. After a short framing to set up the data exploration, you'll dive into your own data, discuss patterns with colleagues, and reflect on why different groups of students might be experiencing your course differently — and what you might do about it.

This session is an opportunity to practice reflective teaching — using evidence from your own course so that you can identify concrete ways to improve students’ experiences. Departmental teams are welcome to attend together if you'd like to examine a shared course collaboratively.

Before you register: have a specific course in mind that you've taught at least twice in the last five years — you'll be asked to identify it during registration.

Participants receive a $100 stipend.
