FIRST-GENERATION Graduation Celebration

This celebration honors the accomplishments of students who are the first members of their families to graduate from college. If your parent(s) and/or guardian(s) do not have a bachelor’s degree, you are considered to be first-generation regardless of whether a sibling graduated first. Students have the opportunity to recognize those who supported them during their collegiate journey by asking them to present their first-generation cord onstage.
