Hello! We hope you’re enjoying your summer whether you’re here in Boise, or traveling elsewhere. We are reaching out with a mid-summer update ahead of the fall semester. Below, you’ll find information about important dates for the coming academic year, move-in volunteering, recruitment, and more.

Move-In Volunteers Needed

Save the date for Residence Hall Move-In on August 20-21.

Student Involvement is looking for volunteers to greet students, answer questions, assist with transporting belongings, and provide wayfinding directions.

We’re also excited to move students into our newest hall this fall, Syringa Hall, in addition to our annual volunteer locations. This is a great opportunity to kick off the year by connecting with the record-breaking incoming class of Broncos and showing what being a part of the Fraternity and Sorority Life community is all about!

Volunteers need to sign up for their shifts by August 18. We recommend that if your members would like to volunteer together, that they sign up at the same time for the same location  

• Move-In Day 1 Wednesday, August 20
• Move-In Day 2 Thursday, August 21

Fall Recruitment & Intake

Fall Recruitment and Intake are around the corner! We are welcoming a record breaking class of first year students, and expect another year of strong recruitment interest! As always, we will ask for your help to market recruitment to our incoming Broncos. 

Registration and recruitment information is now online for interested students. All registration links can be found in our department’s Linktree!  

Panhellenic Recruitment will take place Aug 29 - Sept 1

• Registration is a two step process:
  • Take the anonymous ScreenU survey.
  • Pay the $36 Recruitment Fee and complete the CampusDirector Profile

IFC Recruitment will start with Meet the Chapters on Aug 31, with Chapter Events Sept 1-5. 

IFC chapters, please submit your recruitment events to CampusGroups for approval by August 25th! 

• Registration will be a two step process:
  • Take the anonymous ScreenU survey.
  • Pay the $10 Recruitment Fee and complete the registration form.

Multicultural Greek Council's Showcase will take place on Sept 4 from 5-7 PM. 

• The MGC Showcase is a free event and interested students can RSVP on CampusGroups.
• Following this event, chapters will host their own recruitment events throughout the semester.

Make sure to share these opportunities with incoming students, and spread the excitement about joining our community this fall!
 

Volunteer Opportunity: Western Idaho Fair

We’re excited to share that the Boise State Campus Food Pantry is the proud recipient of the 2025 CBS2 News and Western Idaho Fair Opening Day Food Drive, and they are hoping to get Fraternity and Sorority help to make the operation a success!

The Campus Food Pantry had over 18,000 visits this past spring semester and plays a crucial role in supporting Boise State students. This food drive helps them restock right before the semester begins, and your support makes a real impact!

📅 Friday, August 15 | 10:30 a.m. – 6:30 p.m.

📍 Western Idaho Fairgrounds & Boise State Campus

We’re looking for volunteers to join us in 2-hour shifts throughout the day to:

• Greet fair attendees
• Collect and sort food donations
• Answer questions about the Campus Food Pantry
• Help load & unload items from BSU delivery vehicles

Volunteer Perks:

• 🎟️ FREE entry to the fair on Friday, August 15
  • Only for volunteers who are volunteering at the Fairgrounds
• 🎟️ A free-entry ticket to use any day at the fair
  • Including the Fair Concert Series!
• 👕 A volunteer t-shirt
• 🥤 Food and beverages
• 🏈 Entered to win a Boise State Team signed football and unsigned jersey

Important Note: Volunteers must wear closed-toe shoes and comfortable clothing suitable for warm weather and physical activity. Without proper footwear, you will not be allowed to volunteer.
