This discussion will include information about BSU policies that prohibit discrimination on the basis of sex, race, religion, age, national origin, disability, and other protected classes. We will discuss what constitutes discrimination and hostile work environment (and what does not), how investigations are conducted, your rights under federal law, and the mandatory reporting requirements that apply to all university employees. This discussion will also touch on concerns about retaliation for protected activities such as disability accommodations and FMLA. Finally, we will discuss the support and resources that OCE can supply to campus community members impacted by discrimination.

This event will be featuring Shasta Kilminster-Hadley. She is the Deputy Director of Compliance in the Office of Compliance and Ethics, and is also a PSA Senator. Shasta has practiced law for the State of Idaho since 2007, first as a Deputy Attorney General and later as General Counsel for the Idaho Board of Medicine. She has also been both a full-time and adjunct law professor at Concordia Law School and the University of Idaho. She has been with Boise State since 2022.
