Mission
The Association of Classified Employees (ACE) at Boise State University was established in 1981 and includes more than 400 Classified staff members.
All classified employees automatically become members of ACE and can benefit from its services at no cost. ACE is not a traditional union but rather an advocacy group that represents the interests of classified employees at the university. Classified employees are those who earn an hourly wage (both full-time and part-time) and are benefit-eligible.
The Association of Classified Employees is governed by a democratically elected body, the ACE Senate, which includes 10 senators and 5 executive officers. The ACE Senate is led by the association president. These members volunteer their time to improve the work-life of their classified employee peers and do not receive additional benefits or compensation.

The Faculty Senate is the governing body for The Faculty. Working under the principles of shared governance, Faculty Senate membership shifts from year to year, and involves faculty from the full spectrum of disciplines and position-types at Boise State University. We strongly adhere to the tenant that it is the responsibility of each and every one of us to participate in formulating and upholding policies and practices to maintain high standards for the pursuit of knowledge, creative endeavors, and community engagement.
