Operation Freedom Crossroads is a community-driven initiative focused on supporting Idaho Veterans through the construction and donation of small, livable shed homes. Sponsored by AGC Idaho and the Idaho Veterans Chamber of Commerce, this event brings together high school students, the Idaho National Guard, construction professionals, and veteran organizations to build and gift high-quality sheds to local Veterans in need.

The event culminates in a public ceremony on April 29th at 8:30 AM on April 29th, where the completed tiny homes will be formally handed over to selected Veterans. Each structure is built on-site by high school construction programs and National Guard members as part of the Construction Combine. A workforce development program that teaches hands-on building skills in a real-world setting.

Throughout the event, attendees will have opportunities to network with Veteran leaders, learn about skilled trades, and support the mission of housing security and dignity for those who served. Construction companies will also be present, providing education on general construction techniques to both students and Veterans.

This initiative highlights the power of collaboration—where students learn trades, Veterans gain shelter and support, and the broader community comes together in service.

All donations and support, including meals and delivery of the homes, directly benefit participating Veterans and contribute to the long-term goal of eliminating Veteran homelessness in Idaho.
