About the Facilitator and Summer Training Series:

This three session series is led by Steve Robertson, Ph.D., a local leadership development expert with more than 15 years of experience developing leaders at every level. He has designed and delivered leadership programs at Hewlett Packard, St. Luke’s Health System, and Boise State University’s MBA program, and served as Chief People Officer at Idaho Youth Ranch. Steve brings deep expertise in helping leaders build confidence, navigate challenges, and create high-performing teams.

This three-part series is designed to provide practical, actionable insights that managers can immediately apply to lead with clarity, inspire engagement, and drive meaningful impact. Each session builds upon the previous one, creating a comprehensive learning experience. However, participants can also attend individual sessions as stand-alone learning opportunities.

Session One: Setting a Solid Foundation for Leading a Team – Learn to lead with intention, set clear expectations, and build trust.

Key Takeaways:

  • Navigate the transition from individual contributor to leader.

  • Learn to lead with intention instead of reacting and losing traction on what matters.

  • Set clear expectations that drive alignment and accountability.

  • Master the essentials of effective 1:1 meetings to build trust and support team success.
