About Us

The Alpine Club is a group of Boise State students who like climbing, getting outside, and doing fun stuff with good people. We run student-led climbing days, trips, and events that are open to everyone, no experience needed. Show up, try it out, and meet people.

Members Benefits

• Outdoor Climbing Days: Regular trips to places like Black Cliffs, Swan Falls, and beyond. Open to all skill levels. • Learn by Doing: Pick up skills like belaying, anchor basics, and outdoor climbing just by showing up and climbing with others. • Student-Led Trips: Opportunities to help plan and lead trips if you want to get more involved. • Discounted Gym Nights: Access to discounted climbing nights at places like The Commons. • Gear Sharing: Occasional access to shared gear (ropes, quickdraws, crash pads) depending on what the club has available. • Trips & Bigger Events: Optional weekend trips and longer climbing trips when possible (Red Rocks, City of Rocks, etc.). • Community: Meet people to climb, hike, and do random outdoor stuff with. That’s kind of the whole point.
