Western Idaho Fair Food Drive Volunteer Overview
The Boise State Campus Food Pantry is the proud recipient of the 2026 CBS2 News and Western Idaho Fair Opening Day Food Drive, and we need your help to make it a success!
Last summer, this drive collected 20,000 pounds of food for Boise State students, helping us restock before the new semester begins. We’re looking for volunteers to join us throughout the day to greet fair attendees, collect and sort food donations, help load and unload items from Boise State delivery vehicles.
- All volunteers will receive one FREE entrance to the fair.
- The Western Idaho Fair Food Drive will take place on Friday, August 21st from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. in 1-2 hour shifts throughout the day at the Western Idaho Fairgrounds and Boise State Campus Food Pantry.
- Volunteers will greet fair attendees, collect donations, answer questions about the Campus Food Pantry, assist with sorting donations and loading items into Boise State vehicles.
- Please be aware, you may be required to lift boxes weighing less than 50 lbs.
