Are you a student looking to learn or get better in writing an abstract? This workshop is designed to help you craft clear, concise, and effective abstracts that highlight the key points of your research.

Why attend?
  • Writing an abstract is a crucial skill for sharing your research effectively.
  • If you plan to present your research soon or are participating in the 2026 Undergraduate Research Showcase, this workshop will help you feel confident and prepared.
  • This workshop will be led by Melissa Keith, Director of the Boise State Writing Center. Melissa teaches courses in persuasive writing and writing center theory in the Department of Writing Studies.
Workshop will be followed by social and drop-in advising hours from 3-4 pm
