Learning Lounge @ Lunch: Getting your students to do the reading (Hybrid)

Join us for lunch and to talk with Dr. Jennifer Black (Department of English Literature) about strategies to overcome that perennial challenge: getting your students to do the reading. She will provide examples of a variety of ways to encourage students to engage with assigned readings, as well as encourage participants to share their approaches. You'll leave this session with lots of ideas about how to solve this challenge in your own course!

A selection of sandwiches and salads will be available for those attending this session in person. We will have dairy and gluten free options available, as well as vegetarian/vegan food. If you have a dietary need outside of that, please let us know at least a week ahead of the session. You are also welcome to bring your own lunch/snack! 

This is a hybrid event, offered both in person and online. Please note the address if you plan to attend in person, and the Zoom link if you plan to attend virtually. After registering for a hybrid workshop, you will have the option to add the event, which includes the Zoom link for the workshop, to your Google calendar. Also, you will receive a confirmation email of your registration that also includes the workshop link.
