Transition from Peer to Leader
Becoming a leader provides great opportunity for both the leader and the team to discover ways in which to leverage strengths as well as develop new skills that lead to higher productivity and collaboration. Moving into a leadership role requires patience, curiosity, confidence, and grace.
Participants will:
- Learn leadership competencies to assist in the transition from “doing the work” to supporting the team
- Recognize the necessity to re-define current relationships in order to lead effectively
- Set professional development goals to increase credibility, respect and trust with team members
- Identify colleagues and resources that can support them in their leadership role
