The promotion of education and awareness of the United Nations (UN), international relations, international organizations, and diplomacy through competing in regional and national Model UN competitions.
Participation in Model UN helps students develop public speaking, argumentation, and policy skills while adapting to diverse perspectives. Students also have the opportunity to travel across the country to various cities and visit landmarks in the UN's history. Model UN also allows for connections to be formed with peers from many different parts of the world. The Boise State Model UN Team also hosts FrankMUN, one of the only multi-day, high school Model UN conferences in the Pacific Northwest. Students on the team get unique leadership opportunities to chair, sponsor, research, and volunteer for the conference.
